It Is Not APC Duty To Feed The Enemy, Let Them Labour – Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has stated that it is not the job of the ruling party to strengthen the opposition.

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Yilwatda dismissed claims of a one-party state.

He argued that the opposition is more interested in granting television interviews than in going out on the streets to mobilise support.

Yilwatda disclosed that he has been visiting different states to mobilise people behind the scenes.

“It’s not our duty to help our enemies to grow. I can’t feed my enemy. It’s not my duty. So they should labour, they should go to the streets. That’s why I keep on saying that they spend more time on TV talking.

“Yesterday, I came back from Taraba. Tomorrow, I’m going to Katsina. I’m not receiving a governor. I’m going for mobilization. I’m engaging people. I’m talking to people. On Saturday, I’ll be in a different state again, where I’ll meet with people, discussing and mobilizing behind the scene,” he said.

According to him, most of their work happens behind the scenes, stressing that what the public sees on TV is only the outcome, but the real process takes place away from the cameras.

His remark follows the growing number of governors joining the APC.
