My Late Son’s Wife Has Denied Me Access To My Grandson Since He Died  – Mohbad’s Father

Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer, Mohbad, has said he has been unable to see his grandson, Liam, since his son’s death.

Speaking during an interview with Channels TV, Aloba explained that he has not had any access to the child, adding that communication between him and Mohbad’s partner has remained difficult since the incident.

Abia Radio News reports that the singer died in 2023, and since then, issues around family relations and custody of the child have continued to draw public attention. Aloba said the situation has left him cut off from his grandson, as the child’s mother has been moving around with the baby without involving him.

He also spoke about his past relationship with Mohbad’s partner while his son was still alive. According to him, he accepted her because of his love for his son. He said Mohbad introduced her to him and informed him about her pregnancy, which he welcomed as a father.

Aloba went further to recall how plans for a family introduction did not go as he expected. He said Mohbad initially told him about a simple introduction between the two families, but on the day of the event, he arrived to find a large gathering, which left him confused about what was really happening.

He added that after that moment, Mohbad later distanced himself from some matters and told him he would no longer be involved in certain arrangements. Aloba said his son also shared concerns about his relationship at the time, which added to the confusion.

He said, “There’s nothing like that. Since when Mohbad died, the lady has been carrying the baby all about. I don’t have access to him. You know, I’m someone that loves my son. So when I love my son, automatically, I must love his friend, which is his girlfriend. He introduced her to me and told me this is my girl and she is pregnant for me, and it’s going to be acceptable by me as a good father. And I thought this is the right thing to do. Firstly, he told me he wanted to do the introduction.

“But suddenly, on the introduction day, unexpectedly, he called me and said that was where the introduction was happening. I was confused because I saw crowd and wasn’t sure if it was just a simple introduction for both families to meet. And he told me it was even not suitable to me. He said he had a feeling that his wife was cheating on him.”
