Abia Liaison Officer, Hon. Chinasa, calls on Bende, Abia, and all Nigerians to embrace unity and responsibility as Nigeria marks 65 years of independence.’
“Independence is not just freedom, it is responsibility,” says Abia Liaison Officer in stirring national address
As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence, the Chief Liaison Officer of the Abia State Liaison Office in Abuja, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has delivered a stirring message to the people of Bende, the entire Abia State, and all Nigerians.
In his message, Hon. Chinasa paid tribute to the resilience of the Nigerian spirit, highlighting how the nation has weathered political, economic, and security storms over the decades. He noted that, like the eagle on the coat of arms, Nigeria continues to soar despite its challenges.
“We have witnessed progress in education, science, technology, and democracy. Our people have excelled globally, making our flag a proud symbol of hope,” he said.
However, the Liaison Officer did not shy away from addressing the realities that still plague the nation. He pointed to economic hardship, insecurity, and poor infrastructure as pressing issues facing communities in Bende and beyond.
Despite these, Hon. Chinasa’s message was one of renewed hope, urging citizens not to despair but to believe in a brighter future built on unity, accountability, and shared responsibility.
He emphasized the ongoing transformation in Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, describing it as proof that good governance can lead to meaningful development.
“From bold reforms in governance to life-changing interventions in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, Abia is witnessing the dawn of a new future,” he said.
The Liaison Officer encouraged all citizens, especially in Bende, to actively support the ongoing reforms, emphasizing that development is a collective duty, not the responsibility of a single leader.
“When we support the right policies and embrace unity over division, the Abia—and Nigeria—of our dreams becomes reality,” he added.
In conclusion, Hon. Chinasa called on all Nigerians to remain steadfast in hope, resolute in faith, and unshakable in belief that the nation’s best days are ahead.
He signed off with a passionate call:
“Long live Bende! Long live Abia State! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
