Nollywood actress, Lizzy Gold has announced the death of her father.

Abia Radio News reports that the actress said the loss has left her deeply heart-broken.

She explained through an Instagram post that her father passed away on Friday, December 26, adding that she never imagined entering the new year without him.

She described him as a close friend who always listened to her, adding that losing him was her greatest fear.

The cause of death was not made public.

She wrote: “What I fear most has happened to me… death has given me a huge blow… my father is gone… he left us yesterday… this wasn’t the plan daddy… you were supposed to cross over with your children into the new year… my heart is shattered… my gist partner is gone… so I won’t see you again?”

After she shared the news, many actors, friends and fans reached out to comfort her and offer prayers for her family.

Lizzy Gold Onuwaje is well known in Nollywood movies, especially in the Asaba film circle.

Burial plans had not been released at the time this report was written.
