‘Why I’m Still Relevant Years After BBNaija Buzz’ – Mercy Eke Opens Up
Winner of the Big Brother Naija Season 4, Mercy Eke has opened up about how she has remained in the spotlight years after the fame from the reality TV show.
Abia Radio News reports that Mercy Eke, in a recent interview with Odira Ndubuaku, explained that, unlike some of her colleagues who left the spotlight at the end of the BBNaija buzz, she has remained relevant due to hard work.
The reality TV star further explained that she is not only hardworking but also clear about her goals.
She said, “I am still relevant because I put in the work, I have never turned down any money.
“Also, I mind my business a lot. I work hard. I wake up with purpose. Some people wake up, they don’t have things to do. But I always have a clear picture of what to do every day.”
In other news, Mercy Eke has revealed that she is prepared to raise a child as a single mother if marriage does not happen soon.
The first female Big Brother Naija winner shared in an interview that she feels both mentally and financially ready to take on the responsibility of parenthood alone.
The 33-year-old influencer explained that at this stage in her life, she would go ahead with having a child even without being married.
She said that the usual societal judgment about single motherhood does not affect women who are financially independent.
She explained that her hard work has put her in a position to support herself and her children comfortably, and that the stigma of raising kids without a father mainly targets those struggling financially.
