Premier League giants, Chelsea, have announced the signing of English and Borussia Dortmund winger, Jamie Gittens.<\/h2>\n
Chelsea paid a transfer fee of \u00a348.5 million plus the potential for a further \u00a33.5 million in add-ons for the services of Jamie Gittens. He has signed a seven-year deal which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 30, 2032.<\/p>\n
Note that the 20-year-old winger is a product of the Manchester City youth system. He moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2020. Before his exit from the club, the England Under-21 forward scored 17 goals and contributed 14 assists in 107 games for Dortmund.<\/p>\n
He is Chelsea\u2019s third major signing with a strong connection to Manchester City in the last three summers. Recall that the Blues completed the signing of a former Manchester City player, Liam Delap, from Ipswich Town earlier this summer. Cole Palmer joined the Blues from Manchester City two summers ago.<\/p>\n
Aside from players with Manchester City links, Chelsea have also signed Brighton & Hove Albion forward Joao Pedro, Sporting midfielder Dario Essugo and Strasbourg defender Mamadou Sarr this summer.<\/p>\n
After Jamie Gittens completed his move to the Stamford Bridge side, he said he felt \u201camazing\u201d<\/em> to switch to the Premier League club.<\/p>\n He added, \u201cIt feels great to join such a big club as Chelsea.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastien Kehl said, \u201cJamie is an outstanding player who has given us a great deal of pleasure.<\/em><\/p>\n
