The coalition of opposition political parties in Gombe State has formally adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its unified platform to contest the 2027 general elections in the state.<\/h2>\n
The development was announced during an expanded caucus meeting held Tuesday in Gombe, with top ADC officials and key figures from opposition blocs in attendance.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, former Minister of Transportation and coalition leader, Senator Abdullahi Umar,<\/strong> declared that the alliance\u2019s objective transcends politics, stressing that it aims to \u201csalvage the people of Gombe, the nation, and its citizens from the current socio-economic woes\u201d inflicted by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC<\/strong>).<\/p>\n He said, \u201cThis is not just about unseating the APC.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIt is a rescue mission. The electorate must rise and be wise in 2027. They remain the ultimate judges.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Umar also announced that ADC would soon commence ward-level membership registration across all 114 wards in the state, as part of plans to build momentum and widen the party\u2019s support base.<\/p>\n While addressing the gathering, the former minister emphasised that the party is open to all Nigerians, regardless of past political affiliation.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are throwing the door wide open. Whether you\u2019re from PDP, APC, or elsewhere, there\u2019s room for everyone here.
