The Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, has expressed sadness over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, the Deputy Senate President described the late former president as an untiring promoter of peace and unity in the country.<\/p>\n
According to him, the late Buhari, who served twice as Nigeria\u2019s leader, first as a military ruler (1983\u20131985) and then as President between 2015 and 2023, had a clear vision for the nation\u2019s unity and progress.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST reports that Buhari died in London on Sunday at the age of 82.<\/p>\n
