Lagos Seasiders, Safety Babes Secure Victories In Ardova Handball Premier League

Lagos Seasiders edged out a resilient Osun United 26\u201322, Monday, in one of the closely contested games on Day 7 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Seasiders boys, who led 11\u20139 at halftime, showed composure in the closing minutes of the game to withstand a spirited comeback attempt from the debutants, Osun United.<\/p>\n

This is their first victory in the league this season.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the men\u2019s category, former champions Safety Shooters were in dominant form as they overwhelmed Adamawa Warriors 40\u201331, after taking a comfortable 20\u201314 lead into the break.<\/p>\n

COAS Shooters also maintained their strong form with a commanding 37\u201327 win over Benue Buffaloes. The Nigeria Army side were in control from the start, leading 17\u201311 at halftime and never looking back.<\/p>\n

Tojemarine Academy, following their loss the previous day, defeated De Defenders 37\u201325. The reigning champions raced into a 19\u201310 halftime lead and dictated the pace throughout the match.<\/p>\n

Sokoto Rima Strikers had to dig deep to secure a narrow 25\u201324 victory over Correction Boys.<\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s category, Safety Babes edged Rima Queens 22\u201321 in a thrilling contest. The defending champions had to fight back from a 14\u201311 halftime deficit to snatch victory by the slimmest of margins.<\/p>\n

Soof Omo Ogiefo produced an attacking masterclass with a 41\u201323 demolition of Imo Grasshoppers. The high-flying debutants led 22\u201311 at halftime and never looked in danger as they defeated their seemingly more experienced opponent.<\/p>\n

Defender Babes also proved too strong for Ekiti Queens, cruising to a 43\u201321 win after an explosive 24\u201311 first-half performance.<\/p>\n
