Nigerian lawyer cum human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has averred that former President, Goodluck Jonathan, is the only Southern candidate who can wrest power from incumbent President, Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.<\/h2>\n
Naija News<\/strong> reports that in a post via \ud835\udd4f on Wednesday, Adeyanju, however, stated that Jonathan will not run against Tinubu.<\/p>\n According to him, all other Southern candidates currently pushing to run for President are content creators and they are entertaining their supporters and Nigerians.<\/p>\n He wrote, \u201cThe only southern candidate that can defeat Tinubu is GEJ and he will not run against Tinubu. All others are content creators who are entertaining their supporters and Nigerians. This post will sense to you until after 2027 election. Tinubu is not Buhari or GEJ.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n Meanwhile, as the 2027 general election draws closer, discussions around a potential political alliance between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar\u00a0and Labour Party\u2019s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, have continued to generate ripples, especially among Northern voters who are seen as key to deciding the next presidency.<\/p>\n Naija News<\/strong> reports that amid increasing hardship and political realignment, Northern analysts and grassroots leaders have begun to speak on the coalition\u2019s strength and its implications for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n In a recent interview, a political analyst, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, popularly known as Abba Gwale, said although Peter Obi<\/strong>\u00a0is yet to officially join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), he is being regarded as a key player in the coalition efforts.<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe major actors of the coalition are mostly Northerners.
