Music executive Jude Okoye<\/a> has called for a review of Nigeria\u2019s electoral law to set a minimum academic qualification for political aspirants.<\/h2>\n

Okoye, in a post shared on his Instagram story on Friday, asked why the country allows people without a university education to contest for public office.<\/p>\n

Naija News<\/strong> reports that he argued that it makes no sense for the uneducated to govern the educated.<\/p>\n

He suggested that possessing at least a bachelor\u2019s degree should be the benchmark for anyone aiming to hold any political position in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cHow hard is it to reform our electoral act making at least a Uni bachelors degree a benchmark for qualification to run for any office in nigeria. We can\u2019t have the uneducated leading the educated. Makes zero sense.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
