Prof. Muhammad Sani Bello has stepped down from his role as Commissioner for Information and member of the Kaduna State Executive Council<\/a>.<\/h2>\nHis resignation, contained in a letter dated July 29, 2025, was addressed to the Secretary to the State Government.<\/p>\n
Bello stated that his decision takes immediate effect.<\/p>\n
Although no reason was provided for his resignation, he expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve.<\/p>\n
The letter read: \u201cReference to letter number GH\/KD\/S\/171 dated 27th July 2023, appointing me as Commissioner and Member of the Kaduna State Executive Council, I wish to notify you of my decision to voluntarily resign with immediate effect. I wish to place on record, my profound gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity afforded me to serve in the capacities I did. Please accept the assurance of my best regards\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nFollowing his exit, Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki has been named as his successor.<\/p>\n
The appointment was announced on Tuesday in a statement issued by the governor\u2019s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa.<\/p>\n
Until this new role, Maiyaki was the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).<\/p>\n
In other news, President Bola Tinubu has sympathized with the victims of the recent Yola flood disaster<\/strong> in Adamawa State, as well as the Niger State Boat accident.<\/p>\nThe President, in a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the communities and families of those affected.<\/p>\n
