The Presidency has dismissed online publications that the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, has resigned.<\/h2>\n
Naija News<\/strong> reports that online reports on Saturday alleged that Ojulari was hijacked on Friday and pressured to sign a resignation letter by the chairman of the anti-graft EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, and the director-general of the State Security Service, Adeola Ajayi.<\/p>\n Sources who spoke with The Peoples Gazette said Ojulari was repeatedly questioned about what he might know of a British-Nigerian oil businesswoman, Olatimbo Ayinde, who has recently emerged as one of the most powerful forces steering the Tinubu administration.<\/p>\n The source stated, \u201cMr Ojulari told us he didn\u2019t know Olatimbo Ayinde.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n However, a reliable Presidency source who spoke with Vanguard on Saturday described the claims of Ojularo\u2019s resignation as \u201cfalse and rubbish.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The Presidency also dismissed claims that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) compelled Ojulari to tender his resignation, describing the claims as untrue.<\/p>\n Recall that President Bola Tinubu appointed Ojulari in April 2025, mandating him to carry out reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, restoring investor confidence and making NNPC Limited more commercially viable.<\/p>\n The President had also sacked the previous board of NNPC, including its Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, and board chairman Pius Akinyelure, as part of the reforms.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
