Fenerbahce legend, Umit Ozat, has noted that Victor Osimhen\u2019s permanent transfer to Galatasaray is far above the country\u2019s national economy.<\/p>\n
The former player voiced his strong concerns over the financial implications of keeping the Nigeria International in Turkey.<\/p>\n
He believes that such deals are not for Turkish clubs as they are excessive and unsustainable for them.<\/p>\n
Galatasaray paid \u20ac75 million transfer fee to Napoli, being the highest fee ever paid by a Turkish club.<\/p>\n
Apart from that, the former Lille star would be paid an annual salary as much as \u20ac15 million and would collect \u20ac1 million loyalty bonus and \u20ac5 million in image rights payments.<\/p>\n
Ozat does not doubt the fact that Osimhen is worth the deal but questioned how a Turkish club could do such business.<\/p>\n
\u201cCan you say that signing Osimhen was a bad thing? However, the cost is far above the national economy,\u201d he said on SkySpor\u2019s Youtube channel.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would say so if Fenerbah\u00e7e did the same. I hope they can come up with the money.<\/p>\n
\u201cOsimhen is a valuable, high-quality, and great player, but for our clubs, these amounts are a lot of money.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t envy the transfer. These amounts of money shouldn\u2019t be given lightly,\u201d Ozat concluded.<\/p>\n
The Nigerian attacker is already training with his teammates as they prepare for the 2025-26 season which kicks off later this month.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
