President Bola Tinubu has dispatched a delegation of top government officials to Abidjan, the Ivory Coast, to support the quest of the Nigerian female basketball team to win a fifth consecutive AfroBasket title.<\/h2>\n

According to a State House press release made available to Naija News<\/strong> on Sunday, the delegation is led by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

President Tinubu<\/strong>, who praised the D\u2019Tigress for demonstrating character and discipline, stated that the delegation was sent to express the nation\u2019s appreciation and support for the ladies.<\/p>\n

Recall the\u00a0D\u2019Tigress, on Saturday, overpowered Senegal to book a slot in the final of the 2025 FIBA Women\u2019s AfroBasket for the fifth consecutive time.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian ladies advanced to the final<\/strong> after a keenly contested semi-final game against Senegal, which ended in a 75\u201368 victory.<\/p>\n

Nigeria\u2019s D\u2019Tigress, will now face Mali on Sunday for the ultimate prize in the final of the 2025 Women\u2019s AfroBasket in Abidjan, Cote d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

This follows Mali\u2019s 76-50 victory over South Sudan in the second semi-final clash of the tournament.<\/p>\n
