Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has expressed strong disapproval over the handling of Comfort Emmanson, the female passenger removed from an Ibom Air flight, describing the incident as a gross violation of her dignity.<\/p>\n
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Njoku said she had no issue with the airline offloading the passenger if necessary but condemned the alleged act of stripping her and circulating the footage online.<\/p>\n
\u201cI understand removing her from the plane, that\u2019s not the issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I cannot understand is stripping her while doing so and then putting it all over the internet,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAirline or airport staff are trained professionals, and I refuse to believe that dehumanizing someone, stripping a woman naked, and broadcasting it online is part of that training, no matter what crime she may have committed,\u201d Njoku said.<\/p>\n
She stressed that the passenger deserves compensation for the \u201cdamage done to her life and dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
