Abia <\/a>Govt Reviews Posting Of Newly Recruited Teachers

Following the growing concerns emanating from the distant postings of newly recruited teachers in Abia <\/a>State, the State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, has set up a committee to review posting of the newly recruit, particularly the married women.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In an interview with Newsmen in Umuahia, the Executive Chairman of the Abia <\/a>State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Mrs Lydia Ezihe Onuoha, said the review committee was set up, as a result of the challenges surrounding the posting, where 80 percent of the new recruits were married and 20 percent single.<\/p>\n

She said the committee is careful to review the posting of married applicants, so that the recruitment will not separate families, adding that the ASUBEB is redoing the posting to ensure married women are given due consideration.<\/p>\n
