Former Minister distances self from Ukachukwu, Ekwunife campaign posters, says he\u2019s on \u201cpolitical sabbatical\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>By All Facts Newspaper<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A major crack may have just been exposed in the Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as former Governor and ex-Minister of Labour, <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chris_Ngige\">Dr. Chris Ngige<\/a>, has openly disassociated himself from the party\u2019s governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a strongly worded statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Hyggy Obialo, and personally endorsed by him, Ngige warned the APC candidate and his team to \u201cstop campaigning with my name\u201d and immediately desist from using his image in campaign materials.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The statement followed the circulation of an online campaign poster showing Ngige\u2019s photograph alongside Ukachukwu and Ekwunife \u2014 a move the former Minister described as unauthorized and misleading.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur attention has been drawn to the online poster in circulation\u2026 featuring together with the Anambra State APC Governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and his deputy, Sen. Uche Ekwunife.
