The Interim National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, has berated President Bola Tinubu\u2019s administration over non-appointment of ambassadors two years after assuming office.<\/p>\n
Abdullahi said the Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress, APC, Federal Government displayed its incompetence at the 9th Tokyo International Conference on Africa, TICAD9, in Japan.<\/p>\n
He was reacting to an X user, @Idrisayobello who lamented that Nigeria has the only unnamed booth at TICAD9.<\/p>\n
The user wrote: \u201cI hate to show negative things about Nigeria but it is sad that Nigeria is the only unmanned booth at TICAD9 in Japan. Upon all the folks who probably got estacode for coming to Japan<\/p>\n
\u201cOnly God knows how many Japanese folks have asked me about the unmanned booth seeing my dressing.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo ashamed I have now designated myself as Honorary Consul and taken over the booth to engage visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n
Responding, the ADC spokesman decried the inability of the Nigerian government to man the booth despite the large entourage that travelled with Tinubu.<\/p>\n
Posting on X, Abdullahi wrote: \u201cThe APC Government\u2019s incompetence has followed the President to Japan.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President travelled with a large entourage, yet there was no one at the Nigerian booth. After this jamboree, who will follow up to ensure that Nigeria actually benefits from #TICAD9?<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we asked them to appoint ambassadors, they went ahead and appointed KWAM 1.<\/p>\n
