The doctors also said I wouldn\u2019t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications I\u2019d have to take, as they could affect the baby. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHearing that at 38 years old was devastating. I couldn\u2019t imagine waiting that long. But I rejected the report and held on to my faith in God. I began the journey with prayer and fasting, combining both the medical and the spiritual. When I did a CT scan, it came out negative; the cancer hadn\u2019t spread.
