{"id":234995,"date":"2025-08-26T06:42:29","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T06:42:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/pdp-governors-allege-security-agencies-infiltrating-party\/"},"modified":"2025-08-26T06:42:29","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T06:42:29","slug":"pdp-governors-allege-security-agencies-infiltrating-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/pdp-governors-allege-security-agencies-infiltrating-party\/","title":{"rendered":"PDP Governors Allege Security Agencies Infiltrating Party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors\u2019 Forum has raised an alarm over alleged infiltration of the party by security agencies in an attempt to create disaffection among its members.<\/h2>\n<p>Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues at the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Monday, warned members against falling prey to divisive tactics.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed, who chaired the PDP Governors\u2019 Forum meeting in Zamfara on Saturday, said the gathering, along with other party organs, focused on consolidating unity.<\/p>\n<p>He said, <em>\u201cWe learn from each other so that we can provide dividends of democracy away from the shenanigans pervading the political space.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are doing very well to ensure that we make our party the darling of Nigerians, where we have shown reticence, capacity, and unity. But I must say and warn that we have had some remote information that some of our party leaders at the state level may be penetrated by security agencies so that they can cause disaffection. So please, we must remain united.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He added that, with the help of governors and elders, all outstanding congress disputes had been resolved, and communications had been duly signed with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, stated that the party continues to demonstrate resilience and focus despite the country&#8217;s national challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Damagum said, <em>\u201cNigerians look up to the PDP not only as the strongest opposition party but also as the only credible alternative capable of restoring hope, equity, and justice.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe confidence reposed in us is a reminder of the weight of responsibility we carry as a party. From one convention to the next, the PDP has consistently shown internal democracy, inclusivity and respect for collective decision-making.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On the clamour for greater women\u2019s participation in politics, Damagum said the PDP fully supports the bill seeking to create reserved seats for women in the National Assembly.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNo party has empowered women more than the PDP.
