He dismissed Atiku\u2019s claim that the election represented a \u201ctravesty of democracy,\u201d insisting his words carried no weight.<\/p>\n
Morka said, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t hold any water because it\u2019s simply a call to anarchy by a former vice president who is sulking, whose party showed nothing in that election, was a no-show, didn\u2019t perform, didn\u2019t call out their members because they don\u2019t have any members in that state.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n He noted that Atiku\u2019s words should not be taken seriously by the people of Rivers State.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have the likes of Atiku Abubakar and some opposition leaders who\u2019d rather just dismiss everything and call for anarchy. But the good people of Rivers State know better. They voted, they voted massively for our party. They will not heed the incendiary comments of the former vice president because he is not a citizen of Rivers State. He did not vote in that election. He cannot dictate to the people of Rivers State how they vote,\u201d <\/em>Morka said.<\/p>\n Morka further argued that Atiku\u2019s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was \u201ca no-show\u201d in the by-election, stressing that the party lacked real grassroots presence in Rivers and across the participating states.<\/p>\n “When he calls for people to rise up and fight, the people of Rivers State, we trust them to ignore such an irresponsible call because it is not in their interest. The people of Rivers State are the best judges of their own best interest.
