The Delta State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally presented Oritsemami Obioru as its aspirant for the Delta South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
Obioru reaffirmed his ambition during a solidarity visit to the Delta State ADC Chairman, Austine Okolie, at the party\u2019s secretariat in Asaba.<\/p>\n
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Obioru said his visit underscored his loyalty to the ADC and his commitment to working closely with the party\u2019s leadership to build a united and progressive Delta South.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur discussion centred on my ambition to run for the Delta South Senate seat in 2027; how to deepen cooperation and collaboration among party faithful, strengthen party structures, mobilize support across the eight local government areas of Delta South.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo foster youth and women\u2019s participation in politics, and pursue issue-based campaigns to tackle environmental degradation, unemployment, and underdevelopment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The ADC Warri South Local Government Chairman, Excel Otonne Ololo, who attended the meeting, pledged support for Obioru\u2019s bid, describing him as a \u201ctrusted and illustrious son of the soil\u201d whose aspiration represents hope, inclusivity, and the promise of impactful representation.<\/p>\n
According to Ololo, Obioru\u2019s proposed people-centred policies could catalyse socio-economic and infrastructural development in Delta South, thereby improving the lives of its residents.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Delta State ADC Chairman, Okolie, commended Obioru for his dedication to the growth of the party.<\/p>\n
He described him as a vibrant leader whose grassroots engagement and policy ideas align with the ADC\u2019s vision of inclusiveness, accountability, and transformative leadership.<\/p>\n
Okolie further emphasised the need to harmonise interests within the party and position the ADC as a credible platform capable of entrenching transparency and good governance in Delta State.<\/p>\n
