Sheriff, in a Facebook post on Monday, alleged that the current administration has gone beyond the excesses of past military rulers. He claimed that Tinubu <\/a>has contradicted the democratic values he once preached.
\u201cBola Tinubu <\/a>is a pretentious moralist and pseudo democrat. Everything he accused Obasanjo of, he has demonstrated to be worse off,\u201d Sheriff wrote.
He pointed at alleged interference in Lagos and Osun states, accusing the president of backing illegal structures despite court judgments. According to him, \u201cThe Supreme Court dissolved LCDAs yet elections were conducted into LCDAs at his backyard in Lagos\u2026 Come down to Osun State, the same Tinubu <\/a>has allegedly authorised payment of public funds into private pockets of his party members who have since been sacked from the courts.\u201d
Sheriff also criticised Seyi Tinubu\u2019s growing involvement in state matters. He said, \u201cNon really abdicated state powers to their Sons. Seyi Tinubu <\/a>follows his Father everywhere almost on all official missions and you will wonder if we are running family governance in the Country.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, this is not the first time Governor Adeleke\u2019s camp has clashed with the presidency. In August, the Osun governor accused the Tinubu <\/a>administration of frustrating his government by blocking local government funds. <\/p>\n
