Former Big Brother Naija Housemate, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has said the decision to hold the ongoing Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt for the most makeovers in 24 hours in Nigeria, rather than the United Kingdom, is aimed at putting the country\u2019s beauty industry on the\u00a0global map.<\/p>\n
Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Tacha made this known during a short break on Sunday with Influencer Egungun at her \u2018Tacha Beauty Festival\u2019, currently holding at the John Randle Centre for Yor\u00f9b\u00e1 Culture & History in Lagos.<\/p>\n Tacha said the event was originally planned for London, but the country would not give her the \u2018vibe\u2019 she wanted.<\/p>\n She said, \u201cThe plan was London. We already had plans, we had a brand that wanted to sponsor us, NYX.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cBut I said, London is not the country that will give me the vibe I want. Then I thought, see my people, they are here.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIt always makes sense to carry your country along. At this point now, I\u2019m putting the Nigerian beauty industry on a freaking global map.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n The reality TV star said she has been planning the feat for 2 years, and now is the perfect time to make it a reality.<\/p>\n Tacha began her 24-hour world record attempt on Saturday night, aiming to complete 150 makeovers within the timeframe.
