Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, has opened up about the reasons she could not marry the father of her daughter.<\/p>\n
Abia Radio News<\/strong> recalls that Seyi Shay welcomed her first child, a baby girl, in 2022, barely a year after revealing she was engaged but chose not to disclose her partner\u2019s identity.<\/span><\/p>\n In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwu on the WithChude podcast, the 39-year-old songstress said her daughter\u2019s father is someone very special to her.<\/p>\n Seyi stated that her baby daddy is a Nigerian in the entertainment industry, adding that they are not married due to a technical issue but maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship.<\/p>\n She said, \u201cHer dad is Nigerian, from Nigeria. And we\u2019re really brilliant friends now, and we coparent really well.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not married. It\u2019s a technical issue but because he\u2019s not here, I don\u2019t want to speak too much because I\u2019ve not discussed with him about how he might feel.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s someone that is very special to me and this is my daughter\u2019s father. But he\u2019s great, he\u2019s cool, he\u2019s around, he\u2019s in the UK at the moment.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s also in the music industry, on the corporate side of things.
