The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has dared Governor Caleb Mutfwang to reveal the identity of those who pressured him to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the APC.<\/p>\n
Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Mutfwang had earlier claimed that he was pressured by some persons to leave the PDP for the APC.<\/p>\n Mutfwang accused some APC figures of being \u201cafraid,\u201d saying many within the party would actually welcome him if he chose to defect to the party.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is not a lie that they also put pressure on me. But I told them that only two people would authorise me to change parties. One is the God of heaven, then the other is you, the people<\/em>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Reacting to the governor\u2019s claim, the APC acting publicity secretary in Plateau State, Shittu Bamaiyi<\/strong>, stated that the noise over the governors\u2019 defection to APC would not have arisen if he performed to the people\u2019s satisfaction in the state.<\/p>\n Bamaiyi said if Governor Mutfwang meant well for his supporters and the entire state, \u201che could have courageously told those who cared to listen who was pressuring him to defect to APC<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWhatever may be the case, it is a big minus on the part of a sitting governor, for an opposition party to vehemently object to his joining its fold, when that party\u2019s ultimate goal is to comfortably win the forthcoming <\/em>elections<\/em>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a9 2025 Abia Radio News, a division of Tee Global Innovataions.
