Popular Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, professionally known as Oladips, has opened up on the reason he was apprehended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).<\/p>\n
Abia Radio News<\/strong> recalls that in November 2024, the singer, along with others, was apprehended.<\/p>\n Speaking about the ordeal during his interview on Hip TV, Oladips disclosed that he was locked up for not paying tax, after investigations revealed that he was not involved in fraud.<\/p>\n He said,\u00a0\u201cNigeria just happened to me because it was just a normal night and EFCC entered my estate. I mean it\u2019s a big estate and they were just going from house to house arresting people. I was inside my house. It was about 3am.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI saw it inside the estate group that EFCC were inside. I promise you, I was on my bed pressing phone because it\u2019s none of my business. I didn\u2019t run because I don\u2019t do fraud, I don\u2019t do Yahoo. Na person wey do fraud go dey run.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThe next thing, they broke my kitchen door and entered my house and asked for my phone and laptop. I\u2019m only using two phones, I don\u2019t have a laptop. So they collected my phones did their investigation and realised that I don\u2019t fraud. When they can\u2019t find anything to hold me down, That\u2019s when one of their oga came out and said do I pay tax?
