The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused opposition parties of attempting to undermine President Bola Tinubu\u2019s reform efforts and drag the country backward.<\/p>\n

The party said while Tinubu <\/a>is focused on rebuilding Nigeria\u2019s economy and strengthening national confidence, the opposition is only interested in spreading negativity to stay relevant in public discourse.<\/p>\n

In a statement released on Saturday by its spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, the APC commended the President\u2019s recent declaration at the Federal Executive Council, FEC, that \u201cNigeria is rising, and no amount of opposition bitterness can change it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oladejo described the President\u2019s comments as a \u201cmasterclass in clarity, confidence, and leadership grounded in verifiable results.\u201d He said Tinubu\u2019s achievements speak for themselves and are based on facts, not emotional blackmail or political noise.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile opposition figures are busy dragging Nigeria\u2019s image through mud to remain relevant, President Tinubu <\/a>continues to rebuild the nation brick by brick, fact by fact, reform by reform,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

According to Oladejo, Tinubu <\/a>is the right leader for this period in Nigeria\u2019s history \u2014 one who remains \u201cprepared, courageous, focused, and divinely aligned\u201d with the country\u2019s present realities.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu <\/a>is unmistakably the President for this season, prepared, courageous, focused and divinely aligned with the demands of this moment in our national history. Nigeria is blessed to have him at a time like this. Where others panic, he strategises. Where others shout, he delivers. Where others sow fear, he inspires confidence,\u201d Oladejo stated.<\/p>\n

He further accused opposition parties of twisting economic data and spreading misinformation about the administration\u2019s progress. \u201cThe oversubscribed $2.35 billion Eurobond (over 400% subscription) is not a political claim; it is the world voting with its money,\u201d he said, adding that investors\u2019 renewed interest is proof that \u201cNigeria is back on a growth path.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oladejo highlighted what he called \u201chard facts\u201d from Tinubu\u2019s economic policies, including a 4.23% GDP growth \u2014 the best in a decade \u2014 13 high-growth sectors, improved industrial performance, a drop in inflation to 18.02%, foreign reserves above $43 billion, and a \u20a67.4 trillion trade surplus. <\/p>\n

He also pointed to Nigeria\u2019s recent removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list as evidence of progress.<\/p>\n
