A former Public Relations Officer of the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP<\/strong>) in the South-West, Badmus Kilamuwaye<\/strong>, has formally joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Kilamuwaye announced his defection in a statement released on Monday, just weeks after he dumped the NNPP.<\/p>\n He described his decision to join the PDP as a \u201cprogressive alignment aimed at contributing meaningfully to Nigeria\u2019s democratic growth,\u201d insisting that the move was rooted in national interest, not personal gain.<\/p>\n Kilamuwaye said he arrived at the decision after what he called \u201cdeep reflection on the current political realities in Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n According to him, the nation\u2019s democracy requires a sturdier foundation built on inclusiveness and people-centred governance.<\/p>\n He said politics, for him, had always been about service. \u201cPolitics for me has always been about interest, service to humanity, and not sentiments,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Kilamuwaya noted.<\/p>\n He added that consultations with his supporters and mentors played a major role in shaping his choice.<\/p>\n Kilamuwaye described the PDP as a platform that offers genuine opportunities for young people to participate meaningfully in governance.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter much consultation with my supporters and mentors, I have decided to join the Peoples Democratic Party, a platform that offers genuine opportunities for youth participation, inclusiveness, and national unity,\u201d <\/em>he said, stressing that while he cherished his time in the NNPP, Nigeria\u2019s future required a broader structure capable of delivering real development.<\/p>\n \u201cI am proud of my time with the NNPP. It was a period of learning and service.
