Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State have pleaded with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde<\/strong>, to stop the moves to overturn the outcome of the party\u2019s governorship primary won by Wole Oluyede.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that PDP leaders, led by Deji Ogunsakin, Segun Adeola, Makanjuola Ogundipe, and Kola Oluwawole, appealed during a press conference held in Ado-Ekiti at the party\u2019s secretariat in the Ajilosun area.<\/p>\n The leaders implored Makinde and the PDP leaders at the national level to halt the planned moves by the party\u2019s enemies to overturn the people\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n According to the leaders, Wole Oluyede is the people\u2019s choice, and the All Progressives Congress<\/strong> (APC) is aware that the party has selected a credible candidate.<\/p>\n The leaders said, \u201cWe have decided to win the 2026 June 20 governorship election in Ekiti.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cEnough is enough. We do not want anybody to sell us cheaply to the APC. APC is aware that we have chosen a credible candidate that can win the 2026 election for us; that is Dr Wole Oluyede, who won the PDP primary.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cThey are trying to overturn the results in favour of somebody that was not accepted at the polls.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cThe people have voted; they voted for their conscience. They voted for the man they believed in who can give the PDP victory at the polls.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cThe election was conducted, and the results were announced by Sen.
