He made the remarks shortly after the Federal High Court in Abuja delivered judgment in Kanu\u2019s case. <\/p>\n
According to him, the political atmosphere in the region has become tense and heavily influenced by Kanu\u2019s fate.<\/p>\n
The businessman spoke in a lengthy Instagram post, expressing anger over what he described as growing resentment across the South-East. <\/p>\n
He said support for the president is already collapsing.<\/p>\n
\u201cPresident @officialasiwajubat As long as MNK remains in jail you cannot & will never get up to 10,000 votes in South-East come 2027\u2026 Only MNK release can save you,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
Cubana Chief Priest also took aim at ministers from the South-East, accusing them of failing to tell the president the truth about public sentiment. He said none of them has the political weight to win back the trust of the people.<\/p>\n
He extended the warning to Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, urging him to intervene and push for Kanu\u2019s freedom. <\/p>\n
According to him, the governor\u2019s achievements could be overshadowed if the issue is ignored.<\/p>\n
