Abia <\/a>State Governor Alex <\/a>Otti has assured members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, posted to serve in the state that their welfare and safety are guaranteed.<\/p>\n Otti gave the assurance on Friday at the NYSC Permanent Secretariat in Umunneato, Bende LGA, during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Batch \u201cC\u201d Corps members deployed to the state.<\/p>\n Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nwaobilor Ananaba, Otti appealed to the NYSC members to join hands with his administration in fostering innovation and the economic development of Abia.<\/p>\n \u201cAs you begin this journey of national service today, I want to assure you that the Abia <\/a>State government, under my watch, is committed to ensuring your welfare and safety.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have put in place measures to guarantee your well-being, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that you have a conducive environment to serve,\u201d Otti said.<\/p>\n He urged the corps members to consider remaining in the state upon completion of their service period, even as he encouraged them to take their orientation course and skill acquisition programmes seriously.<\/p>\n The Abia <\/a>governor commended the serving members for recently conducting a free medical outreach in a rural community of Obingwa LGA, where hundreds of Abia <\/a>residents received free surgeries, reading glasses, and other treatments.<\/p>\n
