Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle<\/strong>, has said he prefers to remain silent rather than speak negatively about his ex-wife, Ireti Doyle.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> recalls the former couple, who married in 2004 and finalised their divorce in 2023, have publicly navigated their separation while maintaining a professional connection, including co-starring in the 2023 thriller \u2018The Black Book\u2019.<\/p>\n During a recent appearance on TVC \u2018Wake Up Nigeria\u2019, Doyle was asked to address his relationship with his ex-wife, Ireti.<\/p>\n In response, the movie star emphasised that his \u2018anointing\u2019 prevents him from speaking ill of anyone.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cI would like to say that if I don\u2019t have anything nice to say about a person, I would rather remain silent. My anointing doesn\u2019t allow me to speak ill of anyone, whether dead or alive.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m happy that the Doyle name has opened doors for her, and so far she hasn\u2019t disgraced the name. She is doing very well, and I\u2019m proud of her achievements in the industry. I hope it continues that way.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Recall that in June, the actor alleged that Ireti<\/strong> continues to use his surname to maintain her relevance in Nollywood.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cI can never be defined by her. My body of work is too solid to be defined by anyone.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWhy is Doyle popular? Why did the person revert to Doyle after the separation? Who is responsible for making whom popular? The name predates that person\u2019s emergence. It is okay with me.
