The Edo State governor, Monday<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Okpebholo<\/strong>,<\/span> has made a bold political pledge, declaring that President Bola Tinubu <\/a>will win the 2027 presidential election in Edo State.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with renowned journalist <\/span>Babajide<\/span> <\/strong>Otitoju<\/strong>, <\/span>the governor vowed to resign if the 2027 outcome fails to <\/span>favour<\/span> the president in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

Citing state projects and governance strides undertaken since the All Progressives Congress (APC) took power, Okpebholo insisted that Edo\u2019s citizens <\/span>were fully aligned ahead of 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no opposition here in Edo, everybody is for <\/span>Asiwaju<\/span><\/em> in this state,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the video clip of the interview has continued trending with mixed reactions online, coming just weeks after his Okpebholo\u2019s administration unveiled new state-level infrastructure <\/span>programmes<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The governor admitted that the president\u2019s political reach in the state surpasses even his own.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTinubu <\/a>is more popular than me in Edo State,\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em>Okpebholo said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf he doesn\u2019t win the presidential election in Edo in 2027, I will resign.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Reaffirming his ultimatum, <\/span>Okpebholo<\/span> added:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cIf he doesn\u2019t win in 2027, I will resign.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cEdo people already know that what I\u2019m doing is because of Asiwaju\u2019s impact. I\u2019m telling you. You will see the kind of result that will come out from here because there\u2019s no opposition here in Edo.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody is for Asiwaju here. Who are Obaseki\u2019s people? Does Albasaki have any man here? Let him come here now. <\/em>Is Oshiomole not on the street here? Oh, let him come.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Okpebholo further boasted, \u201cI\u2019m telling you, any time he comes to Edo, wherever he is, he\u2019ll be hearing me now.\u00a0<\/em>Let him come. If he comes, I bet with you. Can you bet?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not frightening him. He knows. It\u2019s the record I will tell you whether he should come or not.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t scam Edo and come here. Let him. He cannot come. <\/em>I\u2019m telling you. Because of his poor record. His poor record will not make him to come.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen children can stand to pray for me, no child on the street will pray for Albasaki. No mother on the street will pray for Obaseki.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
