{"id":237768,"date":"2025-11-30T13:17:25","date_gmt":"2025-11-30T13:17:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/lagos-apc-accuses-former-vp-atiku-of-fueling-insecurity-in-nigeria\/"},"modified":"2025-11-30T13:17:25","modified_gmt":"2025-11-30T13:17:25","slug":"lagos-apc-accuses-former-vp-atiku-of-fueling-insecurity-in-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/lagos-apc-accuses-former-vp-atiku-of-fueling-insecurity-in-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"Lagos APC accuses former VP Atiku of fueling insecurity in Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p data-start=\"172\" data-end=\"366\">The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of being a key contributor to Nigeria\u2019s insecurity and economic decline.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"368\" data-end=\"510\">The party\u2019s statement followed Atiku\u2019s claim that both the APC and the PDP were responsible for rising insecurity and hunger in the country.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"715\">Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo, Lagos APC spokesman, described Atiku\u2019s assertion as \u201cdelusional\u201d and \u201cshameless,\u201d noting that his long political career is marked by controversies and economic mismanagement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"862\">\u201cOrdinarily, we would advise him to take his routine political sedatives, but this level of shamelessness deserves a firm reply,\u201d Oladejo said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"1065\">The spokesman accused Atiku of personally supervising the controversial national assets auction, which he said enriched Atiku, his associates, and cronies while factories closed and jobs disappeared.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1297\">Oladejo also blamed Atiku for the rise of Boko Haram, pervasive corruption, and the mismanagement of oil wealth between 1999 and 2015, saying the former vice president \u201cwas not a spectator but the engine room of these problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1483\">The APC criticised Atiku\u2019s repeated party switches, describing him as \u201ca wandering political relic, hopping from PDP to APC to PDP to ADC and back,\u201d whose ambition threatens Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1674\">Oladejo said President Bola Ahmed <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/tinubu\">Tinubu <\/a>is now \u201crepairing the ruins\u201d left behind by Atiku and his allies, with ongoing reforms to rebuild the security architecture and reset the economy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1676\" data-end=\"1842\">He further urged Atiku to bow out gracefully and seek forgiveness for what he described as the \u201cmonumental economic and political crimes committed under his watch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"2101\">He concluded that Atiku\u2019s recent remarks are \u201cnothing but an obituary announcement for a failed political career,\u201d warning that Lagos APC will not allow \u201cyesterday\u2019s architects of national disaster to rewrite history with the ink of falsehood.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of being a key contributor to Nigeria\u2019s insecurity and economic decline.
