Abia <\/a>State government has said that the revocation of Certificate of Occupancy and recovery of Abia <\/a>Hotels, Umuahia, from an investor was not a political vendetta against Abia <\/a>politicians in the opposition parties.<\/p>\n The State government also said that it paid full compensation to the Co-investor, Mr. Randi Ukanwoko in October 2025 before taking possession of the facility in November 2025.<\/p>\n Mr. Randi Obinna Ukanwoko of Investment Guarantee Limited had in an interview he granted last week, alleged that Abia <\/a>State government revoked, sealed and demolished Abia <\/a>Hotels, Umuahia, which his company was managing, claiming that the action of the State government was to punish him for hosting an APC event in the facility, among other allegations.<\/p>\n But responding to the investor\u2019s allegations, Abia <\/a>State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu said that the takeover of the Hotel was legally done after the money for compensation had been deposited in Ukanwoko\u2019s personal bank account.<\/p>\n Kanu, who appealed to Abia <\/a>public to disregard the allegations of political persecution, accused the investor of peddling falsehood against the Abia <\/a>State government.<\/p>\n The government said the investor breached every single term contained in the agreement, describing such an action as an affront.<\/p>\n It explained that there was a discussion between the government and the investor before he was paid compensation.<\/p>\n Contributing, the General Manager, Umuahia Capital Development Authority, UCDA, Mr. Kingsley Agomuo disclosed the state government paid the investor in October 2025 before the place was sealed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
