{"id":237825,"date":"2025-12-02T09:33:59","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T09:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/peter-okoye-reacts-as-efcc-insists-no-proof-of-800000-fraud-against-jude-paul\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T09:33:59","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T09:33:59","slug":"peter-okoye-reacts-as-efcc-insists-no-proof-of-800000-fraud-against-jude-paul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/peter-okoye-reacts-as-efcc-insists-no-proof-of-800000-fraud-against-jude-paul\/","title":{"rendered":"Peter Okoye Reacts As EFCC Insists No Proof Of $800,000 Fraud Against Jude, Paul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>Nigerian singer, <strong>Peter Okoye<\/strong>, better known as Mr P., has reacted to reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has no evidence to support his allegation that his brothers, Jude Okoye, and Paul Okoye, of the defunct music group, P-Square, fraudulently withdrew $800,000 from their company account while they worked together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abia Radio News<\/strong> recalls that the allegation\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">stems from a 2024 petition by\u00a0<strong>Peter Okoye<\/strong>, who accused Jude and Paul of diverting funds and secretly operating 47 undisclosed bank accounts<\/span>\u00a0while manipulating the shareholding structure of Northside Entertainment Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>Following the petition, the commission filed financial misconduct charges against Jude, linking them to the management of the P-Square brand.<\/p>\n<p>Under cross-examination, EFCC counsel, M.K. Bashir, told Justice\u00a0<strong>Rahman Oshodi<\/strong>\u00a0that the commission could not produce proof for the alleged $800,000 withdrawal.<\/p>\n<p>Pressed by the court to substantiate the claim, Bashir replied:\u00a0<em>\u201cWe do not have it. It is his evidence. Let him prove it. I can\u2019t give what I don\u2019t have.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He further denied holding proof of the alleged 47 bank accounts, adding,\u00a0<em>\u201cIt is one of the witness\u2019s claims, but I do not have such a copy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Reacting via his social media handle, Peter described the report as jokes and propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, there was never a court session in which the EFCC investigator made this claim.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote, <em>\u201cJoke and propaganda. Again, pushing false narratives to the media about a court session that never happened, all to make me look bad?
