Award-winning Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P<\/strong>, has declared he is afraid of poverty and being broke.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Mr P, during an interview in a recent episode of the Nancy Isime Show, said he is not afraid of death.<\/p>\n Recounting his childhood experiences, the singer said his family\u2019s rented single-room apartment and was demolished after the landlord sold the property.<\/p>\n Mr P emphasised that he had tasted poverty and he does not wish to return to it.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cI am not afraid of death. The only thing I am afraid of in this life is poverty, of being broke.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cI have tasted it [poverty] before. I have been in our house with my parents and siblings and a bulldozer came and demolished it.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cWe were living in a boys\u2019 quarter, me, my mum, my dad, all of us. The whole family, six boys and two girls living in a one-bedroom apartment. They had to divide the room with a curtain.
