Ace Nigerian rapper and music executive, Olamide Adedeji,<\/strong> popularly known as Olamide Baddo<\/strong>, has disclosed that he is currently in a new phase of life focused entirely on himself.<\/p>\n Speaking in a recent interview with Flow 98.7 FM, the YBNL boss said he has long been balancing between helping others and pursuing his personal music journey, but has now chosen to focus squarely on his own well-being and growth.<\/p>\n \u201cRight now, I\u2019m at the phase in my life where I\u2019m really trying to give myself undivided attention,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Olamide reflected on his years of supporting others in the industry, noting that he has always tried to be available for those around him while managing his own career.<\/p>\n \u201cAll my life I\u2019ve been trying to be there for people and also trying to do my stuff. But right now, I\u2019m really just trying to focus on myself 100 per cent,\u201d<\/em> he added.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that through his record label, YBNL, Olamide has played a key role in launching the careers of several successful Nigerian artists. Notable names nurtured under his imprint include Lil Kesh, Young John, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, Lyta, Asake, Adekunle Gold, among others.<\/p>\n In addition to those signed under YBNL, Olamide has also offered major platform support to other rising talents by featuring them in songs that later became major hits.<\/p>\n These include Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley, Portable, Bella Shmurda, and many more.<\/p>\n However, controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable<\/strong>, recently claimed that assistance in the Nigerian music industry is strictly a business matter.<\/p>\n The Zazu crooner stated this in a video via his Instagram page, claiming he had helped more people in the music industry<\/strong> than his colleagues Olamide, Don Jazzy, Wizkid and Davido.<\/p>\n According to Portable, his assistance is not only limited to those in the music industry but also extends to the less privileged.<\/p>\n Portable added that when most of the artistes, his colleagues are using for business decide to be independent, they label them as ungrateful.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a9 2025 Abia Radio News, a division of Tee Global Innnovations [abiaradios@gmail.com].
