The struggles we faced were due to the crisis in the state.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf President <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/tinubu\">Tinubu <\/a>had not intervened, there wouldn\u2019t be a Siminalayi Fubara today. We have the people and supporters with us. Our decision is to move to the APC and fully support the President\u2019s second-term bid.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, had announced his defection, not to APC, but to the Accord Party, ahead of the state\u2019s forthcoming governorship elections.<\/p>\n<p>With Fubara\u2019s exit, the tally of governors who have left PDP in 2025 stands at six:<\/p>\n<p>Peter Mbah (Enugu State)<\/p>\n<p>Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom State)<\/p>\n<p>Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta State)<\/p>\n<p>Douye Diri (Bayelsa State)<\/p>\n<p>Ademola Adeleke (Osun State)<\/p>\n<p>Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers State)<\/p>\n<p>There are indications that the Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang and Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, might follow suit in 2026, leaving the once flashy party in shambles.<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 4 --><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><span class=\"copyright\"><strong>\u00a9 2025 Abia Radio News, a division of Tee Global Innovataions.
