Wada Abdullahi, who had publicly declared that Governor Mohammed would not be welcomed into the PRP even if the rumors of his defection due to an \u201calleged disintegration\u201d of the PDP were true<\/p>\n<p>Abdullahi had said the party had drawn a \u201cclear line\u201d and would not accept Governor Muhammad under any circumstances, citing what it called \u201ca record of poor performance and disregard for democratic values.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHis tenure as governor has been characterised by poor performance, which we find both disappointing and unacceptable<\/em>,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, issued a statement on Wednesday, affirming Governor Mohammed\u2019s loyalty to the PDP.<\/p>\n<p>Gidado stressed that the Governor has \u201c<em>never contemplated leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),<\/em>\u201d and that no moves, direct or indirect, had been made toward joining the PRP.<\/p>\n<p>He identified Governor Mohammed as a key figure actively involved in efforts to stabilize the PDP and strengthen internal democracy within the party.<\/p>\n<p>The government also criticized the PRP\u2019s stance, arguing that the party had failed to appreciate the ongoing developmental gains and reforms in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Gidado said: \u201c<em>The government maintained that Bauchi has continued to record progress under Mohammed\u2019s administration, citing gains in empowerment, infrastructure, rural development, urban renewal and tourism.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He urged residents to remain vigilant and not be swayed by \u201chabitual criticism\u201d from political actors seeking relevance.<\/p>\n<p>Gidado stated that while the Governor has the constitutional right to determine his political future, any such decision would not be influenced by \u201cfalsehood or malicious propaganda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 4 --><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><span class=\"copyright\"><strong>\u00a9 2025 Abia Radio News, a division of Tee Global Innovataions.
