The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has fallen in love with his captor.<\/p>\n
The party\u2019s factional National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, stated this on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television.<\/p>\n
He sympathised with Fubara over his past experience but warned the governor against blaming the wrong party for his travails.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cDuring the preparations for the convention, I remember a journalist asked Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state about what the party was doing and he clearly said we need to allow him that he\u2019s been through a lot that they\u2019ve been speaking, so you can\u2019t just throw other people under the bus because of your actions and inactions.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe sympathise with Siminalayi Fubara. We know that this is a situation where Stockholm syndrome has happened, a captive has fallen in love with a captor and he\u2019s unable to differentiate between where the real problem lies.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cBut we frown against that conscious amnesia, where he picks and chooses where the blame should be. He knows where the origin of his problem is. He knows where the continuity of his problem is.
