Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the 42-year-old actress said she is open to the idea of remarriage if it happens naturally, but she is not actively pursuing it.<\/p>\nJegede, in an interview with Naija FM, explained that many relationships change after marriage, with couples who dated for years sometimes separating within a short time.<\/p>\n
She questioned whether the institution of marriage always improves a relationship, suggesting that it often introduces intolerance.<\/p>\n
She said it may be better to simply find someone you love and live together without formal marriage.<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cI am open to remarriage if it comes, but I am not looking for it. I have learnt not to say \u2018never\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n\u201cI think marriage is overrated. A lot of people who dated for 10 to 15 years, got married, and they broke up within 2 to 3 years. Sometimes, you wonder why such couples didn\u2019t just remain unmarried. Because when they add the marriage tag, a lot of intolerance gets in the way.<\/em><\/p>\n\u201cI think it is better to find who you love and just cohabit with them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nRecall that the actress\u2019s previous marriage to Olakunle Abounce Fawole ended in 2019 after less than a year.<\/p>\n
She pointed to financial challenges and her ex-husband\u2019s inability to handle the relationship and show respect as reasons for their split.<\/p>\n
In earlier interviews, Jegede admitted she had been the leading provider during the marriage and regretted prioritising love over financial security.<\/p>\n
