An alleged plot by some members of Okorie family to evict two female orphans from their father\u2019s\u00a0 house has failed in Eluoma Uzuakoli\u00a0 community of Bende LGA of Abia <\/a>State.<\/p>\n This followed the prompt intervention of the member representing Bende South constituency in Abia <\/a>State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Ndubuisi, who visited the family on Tuesday to prevent the outbreak of crises in the family.<\/p>\n The two sisters, Kelechi Okorie and Chinwendu Okorie had on Monday, cried out to Governor Alex <\/a>Otti and human rights activist to save them from being evicted from their late parents\u2019 house.<\/p>\n According to the two sisters, a senior\u00a0 male relative\u00a0 and a\u00a0 female\u00a0 family member allegedly stripped them of family inheritance and were on the verge of evicting them from their father\u2019s house after the death of their parents, on the claims that they were girl-children who have no rights in the family.<\/p>\n The controversy generated by the orphans, created tension in the family and\u00a0 the community with some\u00a0 human rights and girl-child activists calling for thorough investigation of the matter.<\/p>\n
