The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress<\/strong> (APC), South South, Victor Giadom<\/strong>, has declared that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike<\/strong>, remains the \u2018dependable\u2019 party leader in Rivers State.<\/p>\n

According to him, nobody, including the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara<\/strong>, can win anything in the Gokana area of Rivers State without going through Wike.<\/p>\n

Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Giadom made the declaration on Tuesday while speaking during Wike\u2019s Thank You Visit to the people of Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.<\/p>\n

He affirmed the loyalty of the people of Gokana to Wike, adding that the community is a no-go area for any other politician, including Fubara.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guarantee, on behalf of my brothers, that the Gokana people are for Wike and Tinubu <\/a>and nobody will challenge Wike\u2019s influence in Gokana.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cGokana is a \u2018no go area\u2019 for anybody, even Governor Fubara. For him to win anything in Gokana, he must pass through Wike,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

Also speaking, a former Senator who represented Rivers South East at the Senate, Magnus Abe<\/strong>, declared that the loyalty of the people of Gokana remains with Wike and President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

\u201cWike is a leader that unites and that is why we are united. If you follow Wike, you will not go home empty-handed.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ogoni people are with you and we will not go home empty handed. Please tell Tinubu <\/a>not to bother coming to Gokana to campaign. We are for him,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

On his part, the Deputy Speaker, Rivers Assembly, Dumle Maol<\/strong>, assured Wike that the people of Gokana would be with him every step of the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnywhere you go we will go,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Chairman of Gokana Local Council, Confidence Deko<\/strong>, pledged that when the time for the election comes, the people of the area would go wherever Wike directs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis local government is for you because of what you have done for us. Please tell Tinubu <\/a>that the people of Bokana are appreciative of him.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe time for payback is near and we will do the needful,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

Responding, Wike appreciated the people for the warm welcome, explaining that the visit was to say thank you to Gokana people for their good deeds and support over the years.<\/p>\n

He commended the people for the display of unity of purpose for Tinubu, saying, \u201cWhen you are united, good things will come\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He said the leaders would communicate direction to them when the time comes.<\/p>\n

The FCT Minister also said members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers were working under the umbrella of Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n

\u2018That is why you see PDP and APC members here,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
