Senator representing Abia <\/a>North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has alleged that Governor Alex <\/a>Otti wouldn\u2019t have been declared Abia <\/a>State Governor in 2023 if not for his (Kalu) intervention.<\/p>\n In a statement by his media office on Tuesday, signed by George Maduka, the lawmaker reiterated the determination of his team to deliver the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia <\/a>State come 2027.<\/p>\n According to him, the ruling party does not need Governor Alex <\/a>Otti to win elections in the state, stressing that APC remains united and solid in Abia.<\/p>\n The statement challenged Governor Otti to deny that he \u201cpersonally visited Senator Kalu\u2019s residence in Igbere late at night on the eve of the election\u201d.<\/p>\n The statement asserted that prominent individuals involved in the Labour Party\u2019s 2023 campaign, including Chief Umeh Kalu, who served as the party\u2019s coordinator in Abia <\/a>State, cannot deny holding discussions with Senator Kalu concerning the governorship election. It questioned the logic of seeking such intervention if claims of political irrelevance were indeed true.<\/p>\n \u201cIf he was not relevant, why was his house in Igbere visited on the night before the election?\u201d the statement queried.<\/p>\n This followed the move by Governor Otti to support the Labour Party, LP, candidate for Abia <\/a>North to defeat Orji Uzor Kalu in 2027.<\/p>\n Otti had in a statement issued on Monday by his media aide, Ferdinand Ekeoma, vowed that LP will sack Kalu in 2027.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
