A former senator from Rivers State, Magnus Abe, has openly declared the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as President Bola Tinubu\u2019s main political figure in Rivers State. <\/p>\n
He said Wike stands as the \u201c001 of President Bola Tinubu\u2019s political family in Rivers State.\u201d<\/p>\n
Abe made it clear that anyone claiming loyalty to President Tinubu <\/a>cannot be in political opposition to Wike. <\/p>\n According to him, such a position would be contradictory, given Wike\u2019s role in the President\u2019s political success in the state.<\/p>\n The former lawmaker spoke while appreciating President Tinubu <\/a>for appointing him as Chairman of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission. <\/p>\n His statement has drawn attention, especially amid the lingering political tension between Wike and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.<\/p>\n In a message shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, Abe credited Wike with securing Rivers State for Tinubu <\/a>and the All Progressives Congress during the 2023 general elections. <\/p>\n He described the outcome as historic and unlike anything seen before in the state\u2019s political history.<\/p>\n He stressed that loyalty must be acknowledged, noting that political victories do not happen by chance. Abe said, \u201cNo one can claim to love Mr President and be ungrateful to our \u2018Mr Project,\u2019 whose support at a critical point was pivotal to our success.\u201d<\/p>\n
