Former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, has slammed the Labour Party (LP) 2023 vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed<\/strong>, for criticising members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Baba-Ahmed, while declaring his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election on Wednesday, described members of the ADC coalition as disgruntled politicians.<\/strong><\/p>\n He also labelled some former LP members who defected to the ADC as political travellers.<\/p>\n However, Momodu, while speaking on Channels Television\u2019s Sunrise Daily programme on Thursday, likened Baba-Ahmed to an aggrieved jilted lover.<\/p>\n The ADC chieftain expressed surprise at Baba-Ahmed\u2019s attacks on other politicians, stressing that politics should not be driven by personal grievance or emotional reactions.<\/p>\n Momodu added that elections are \u201ca game of mathematics\u201d, urging politicians to work with those who had built structures and platforms capable of delivering results at the polls.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cHe has a right to say anything. I am very, very surprised about how he talks down on other politicians.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cHe is free to contest, but he knows that today the Labour Party is not what it was in the last election.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cAnd the reason he is aggrieved is that he goes and pursues his own dreams and knows that, in that coalition, it is not likely.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not bothered at all. He is an aggrieved person; he\u2019s like a jilted lover. He ran with Peter Obi the last time; he would expect to run again, but they should not turn themselves into serial contestants.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cOnly serial contestants would not think about the larger picture.
