{"id":239015,"date":"2026-01-09T10:30:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T10:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/rivers-every-monster-that-attempts-to-destabilize-fubaras-leadership-will-will-resisted-apc\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T10:30:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T10:30:16","slug":"rivers-every-monster-that-attempts-to-destabilize-fubaras-leadership-will-will-resisted-apc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/rivers-every-monster-that-attempts-to-destabilize-fubaras-leadership-will-will-resisted-apc\/","title":{"rendered":"Rivers: \u2018Every Monster That Attempts To Destabilize Fubara\u2019s Leadership Will Will Resisted\u2019 \u2013 APC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed it will resist any attempt to destabilise its party or the administration of Governor<strong> Siminalayi Fubara<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the Rivers APC spokesperson, Darlington Nwuju, stated this on Friday while speaking on Arise Television\u2019s Morning Show.<\/p>\n<p>Nwuju said the party has resolved not to allow any external forces to destabilise the APC government, and that the party would not align with or pander to interests seeking to create instability.<\/p>\n<p>He also said the APC had made clear that Governor Fubara was not only a member of the party but also its leader in Rivers State, noting that the party will not allow a \u2018 Frankenstein monster\u2019 to import internal crises associated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into its fold.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the fresh political crisis engulfing the state, Nwuju traced the tensions to events that occurred while the key actors were still members of the PDP, beginning in October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>He added that APC would resist any effort to transfer what he described as the \u201cspirit\u201d of the PDP crisis into the ruling party.<\/p>\n<p>He said,<em> \u201cLet me say this clearly for those who are in doubt about the resolve of the APC in Rivers state to ensure that the government of the day in Rivers is not destabilised.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThen let them take this to the bank that we would not accept, we would not align, we will not also pander to the wishes of any external force, anywhere that will attempt to destabilise the government of Rivers state.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLike we clearly stated in our statement yesterday, that this governor is not just a member of the All Progressives Congress, but as it stands today, he is the leader of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers state.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNow you would recall the series of drama, or the drama series that we\u2019ve been treated to in Rivers state, and that was purely when they were members of the People\u2019s Democratic Party, starting from October 13, 2023, when the drama began, we believe strongly that this should not dovetail into the APC.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe spirit of PDP cannot be transferred into the APC. We are going to resist it. We reject it. And every Frankenstein monster that attempts to destabilize our party and the leadership of the governor of Rivers State will surely be resisted by every illegal means possible.
